Samyang Group Awarded the ‘Main Prize’ at German ‘iF Design Award 2019’ Print

▲ Samyang Group’s CI and its cases of application were awarded the Main Prize in the Communication category at the ‘iF Design Award 2019.’ ‘Life’s Ingredients,’ the English slogan of Samyang Group that communicates with the world through its material techniques, was reinterpreted in an easy and friendly manner by utilizing the three primary colors of light together with dots that represent quotation marks. 


Samyang Group announced on the 13th that it was awarded the Main Prize in the Communication category at the ‘iF Design Award 2019,’ which is one of the world’s top three design awards.

 

The iF Design Award which first began in 1953 is an award presented by the International Forum Design, a non-profit and independent design institute located in Hannover, Germany. This is one of the top three global design awards along with Germany’s ‘Red Dot Design Award’ and ‘IDEA’ award of the USA, and it is recognized for its public confidence since it is implemented without receiving aid from any particular country or corporation.

 

Last year, Samyang Group developed application cases including forms, advertisements, stationery, and packaging that utilize the CI (Corporate Identity) and exhibited them at the iF Design Award, where they received outstanding reviews from 67 members of the judging committee comprised of experts from various countries.

 

In light of the 90th anniversary in 2016 since its establishment, Samyang Group introduced its new logo that strategically placed the single quotation mark and double quotation marks using dots, to the left and right of the company name. By utilizing punctuation marks that symbolize quotations and communication, it contained the meaning of communicating with the world with its material techniques. The three primary colors of red, green, and blue were used to reinterpret Samyang Group’s English slogan, ‘Life’s Ingredients,’ in a simple and friendly way.

 

Samyang Holdings’ Design Team Manager commented, “The products of Samyang Group with their focus on business-to-business (B2B) are not flashy on the outside but are always a part of our lives. Samyang Group will develop various souvenirs and goods including notebooks and calendars that utilize the CI from now on to further introduce Samyang Group to our consumers.”
