Samyang
began ion-exchange resins business
in 1977 through technological
alliance with
Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation.
It has since
developed special-use resins and
functional
products while continuously developing
innovative technologies.
Samyang has also adopted ion-exchange
equipment designs from Nippon
Rensui
Corporation and has become the
only company
in Korea that provides technological
services such
as equipment design, process development,
and
technology consulting. Ion-exchange
resins were
initially used mainly for desalinization,
but are now being widely used
in separation,
refining, decolorization, and
as a catalyst for foods,
pharmaceuticals, fine chemicals,
semiconductors,
and nuclear power. In March 2000,
Samyang obtained ISO 9002 and
ISO 14001
certifications, and has continued
to enhance the quality of its
products and services |
